Fashion Photography Geniuses: Patrick Demarchelier

French photographer Patrick Demarchelier (1943-2022) tried long and hard to do his job better and better, without thinking about laurels.

“I never looked for success. I worked. When you are young, you can’t think about success at all. When the top is reached, try to surpass it. And one day success will find you,” – the photographer said.

In 1975, Demarchelier moved to New York, where he truly succeeded in fashion photography. His work attracted the attention of many glossy magazines – Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone…
