Pagan Designs

Croatian women show off their traditional tattoos. These pagan designs were worn by Balkan Slavs to avoid forced conversion to Islam during the Ottoman invasion. Muslims did not want to marry women with pagan designs on their bodies and there was no point in converting such people to Islam.
