Colour photography is photography that uses media capable of capturing and reproducing colours. By contrast, black and white or grey monochrome photography records only a single channel of luminance and uses media capable only of showing shades of grey. In colour photography, electronic sensors or light-sensitive chemicals record colour information at the time of exposure.
