It was a very difficult session, but, I hope he likes it anyway … This is a collage 1 portrait as part of my photography project “I See You”.

An image is a cross-roads encounter between identity and history. It makes moments unique, whatever or whoever the subject. It is very simply my visual essay about what I see, at the cross-roads of my life. Would you like to commission a portrait? This is how I do it … Also, you can preview or/and purchase my ongoing work from I See You Gallery.

  1. Collage – (noun; from the French: coller, “to glue” or “to stick together”) is a technique of art creation, primarily used in the visual arts, but in music too, by which art results from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. ↩︎

  1. Looks like a very peaceful and human person – gives me a warm feeling. The second photo appeals to me the most.

  2. What an expressive face! For some reason, I find the one in the middle the most evocative – his expressions are ‘at rest’ and yet there is so much he seems to have to say! (and maybe it’s a little bit haunting too because there’s no sparkle in his eye, but his lips have something of the enigmatic Mona Lisa smile about them.) Bravo! Linda xx

    1. Ah … Thank you Linda! You are too kind. He was very difficult to photograph; he hates photography, augmentative, terribly impatient to set changes and have a general dislike of his appearance. Other than that he is wonderful a grandpa! :-)
