Daily writing prompt
If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?

To remove all courts and lawyers immediately. Free people of the land(s) (NOT lawyers and/or politicians) make new law transparent, simple, but more importantly humane. Have AI, other program(s) and open source software justly administer all necessary legal and lawful functions, cost free and equally managed. It will be truly just and free, people’s rule of law.

  1. I think in this point that you explained, “…It will be truly just and free, people’s rule of law.” starts all problems. For whom is there a law truly just and equal… Today’s World is in the hands of wrong scales… This is an important subject and must be discussed and worked again… The World has been changing with its all fields… Thank you dear Sergei, Love, nia

  2. Wonderful idea – except that lawmakers are mostly lawyers who would never concede a dime to the interest of the public.

  3. This will never work. I can give you many reasons this will be a disaster. Besides, even though humans are easily corrupted, ai will never do a better job at judging humans than humans.
But i must say, this image is hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing.

    1. Never work? You are a lawyer are you? Do not worry you will find different job. :-) But, OK give me one reason.

      1. I think you need some time to understand life better. Perhaps you will learn a thing or two about how the world works.

To begin with, laws are man made. Most of which by the legislature, depending on the system of government. Though rigid to the judiciary, there are a lot of things required in passing a judgment. The human conditionings and critical thinking, takes crucial role in influencing decision making. Something ai will not fully comprehend since it will be following a strict programming.
For example, protesting is legal in a democratic society right? How about protesting for the legalization of things or activities that are currently considered illegal and punishable under the law, do you think ai will judge you fairly?
But then again define fairly. Because if you ask me, the ai is being fair.
At the end of the day, that wouldn’t solve the current problem, it will only just make it worse. What makes you think ai cannot be programmed to favour and do the bidding of a few important individuals over others. Be careful what you wish for. At least now your lawyers and judges are right in front of you, to take the blame for their errors and corruptions. Who would you then blame for the malpractice of ai?
In your quest in trying to solve a problem, you ended up creating an even greater problem by surrendering your sovereignty totally to a machine, with a few individuals controlling it decision making behind the scene.
And if you still don’t get it from this explanation, i am sorry there is nothing more i can do for you.

        1. Ah .. look at this lawyer. What a plonker. :-) Wonderful example of illusory superiority syndrome. Your inability to think free, to think outside of the box, just astounding. Go and see your doctor, thankfully you can afford it.

    1. Do not worry, AI is and will be a sophisticated computer program, not a human like “intelligence”. It is impossible to mimic human brain.

    1. John, anarchy is an absence of any form of political authority, not the law. :-)
